Ensuring a Safe and Orderly Environment at Twin Peaks K-8
At Twin Peaks K-8 School, student safety is a top priority. We are proud to maintain a safe and orderly environment through proactive measures and consistent expectations. Our campus features controlled access doors, a rapid response button, and a secure perimeter to help keep our students and staff safe. Regular safety drills ensure that everyone is prepared in the event of an emergency.
We also focus on building a strong, respectful school culture. Through our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program, all students are taught and expected to follow our school-wide expectations: Tiger Cubs Rrr Pawsitively… Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn—in every area of the school. On the playground, our PBnJ (Peers Bringing Joy) and Peaceful Playground initiatives promote kindness and inclusion. Students take an active role in school safety through Safety Patrol, assisting with arrival and dismissal by helping at crosswalks, in the courtyard, and at the parent pick-up loop. Additional supports include the Speak Up Safety Tip Hotline and monitored entry and exit procedures. We also use technology tools such as Securly, Gaggle, and Go Guardian to help ensure a safe digital environment.
Our involved and active parents are a vital part of our school community, supporting safety efforts and reinforcing positive behavior expectations both at home and on campus. Together, we are creating a safe, supportive space where every student can thrive.
