MUSD Schools Earns State Recognition for PBIS Excellence!
Teacher & Students

MUSD is proud to announce that several Marana Unified School District (MUSD) schools have been recognized by the Arizona PBIS Coalition for their outstanding implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), a framework that promotes safe, supportive, and inclusive school environments. These prestigious awards reflect each school's commitment to fostering positive student behavior, improving school climate, and supporting the academic and emotional success of all learners.

Level 4: Tier 1, 2 & 3 Fidelity Award

These 12 schools have demonstrated full fidelity across all three tiers of PBIS, universal supports (Tier 1), targeted supports (Tier 2), and individualized interventions (Tier 3), earning the highest level of recognition from the Arizona PBIS Coalition:

  • Butterfield Elementary
  • Coyote Trail Elementary
  • DeGrazia Elementary
  • Dove Mountain CSTEM K-8
  • Estes Elementary
  • Gladden Farms Elementary
  • Ironwood Elementary
  • Picture Rocks Elementary
  • Quail Run Elementary
  • Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary
  • Roadrunner Elementary
  • Twin Peaks K-8

Level 2: Tier 1 Fidelity Award

One school earned the Level 2: Tier 1 Fidelity Award, signifying strong, schoolwide implementation of foundational PBIS practices. This recognition celebrates the efforts of the MHS team in creating consistent expectations, reinforcing positive behaviors, and nurturing a culture of respect and responsibility.

  • Marana High School

These schools serve as models of excellence for how comprehensive behavioral support systems can transform school culture, address student needs, and promote long-term success for every learner.

Statewide Recognition

All recognized schools will be honored at the Arizona PBIS Coalition Awards Ceremony on November 12, 2025, at the Pendergast Early Learning Center in Phoenix. This event celebrates schools across Arizona that are leading the way in PBIS implementation and positive school transformation.

A Commitment to Whole-Child Education

As MUSD continues to prioritize student well-being, the district remains focused on expanding PBIS implementation and ensuring all schools have the tools, training, and support needed to foster healthy, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environments.

Congratulations to all the schools recognized, your hard work, consistency, and dedication are making a lasting impact on students and the entire Marana community!
