MUSD Social Workers

At MUSD, social workers play a key role in supporting students and families.  Social workers work 1:1 with students and families in need of Tier support, an organized level of support based on intensity so that students receive necessary guidance and interventions based on individual needs. While working with students, they create goals and use evidence-based interventions. Students receive guidance on a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, grief & loss, anger, behavior problems, and more.

Social workers also work with families by helping them find community resources and providing them with basic needs including food, hygiene items, small household goods, clothes, and shoes. They connect families with outside counseling, housing programs, utility assistance, etc.
